Applying "Wing Eyeliner" like a Pro!

Do you struggle with getting the lines even?

So many worries and questions. I'm here to answer them all.
Before you apply your eye liner, make sure you've already put on your eyeshadow since the liner goes on after.

Liner will define and bring out your eyes. You can make your eyes look larger, improve the shape, and enhance them whether they're open or close, depending on the product you use and the way you apply it.

Products I use

“Fluidline” by M.A.C. is a gel formula liner that comes in a small glass pot that you then apply with a makeup brush. In fact, it’s as easy—if not easier—to apply than a regular liquid liner. It’s smooth and silky, not wet and uneven as liquid liners often are. Since with the long makeup brush you have good control, you can flick to your heart’s content: thick, thin, long, short, wings, v-shapes…if you want it, you can draw it. Mac Brush #266.

  1. Makesure all your eyeshadow is applied.
  2. Place the angle brush in the pot of eyeliner. I suggest to remove any excess product (it will look too thick if not) and also make sure all the hairs of the brush are running tighly in the same direction.
  3. Apply the Eyeliner with the angle brush as close to the lash line as possible.
  4. Apply with a controlled hand and in a sweeping motion from the inner eye to the outer.
  5. The Inner eye should always been the thinniest eyeliner part of the eye. The outer edge of the eye should always be the thickest.
  6. If you are doing a winged eye i suggest grabing your concealer first and a flat concealer brush and sweeping a line from the edge of your eye to the end of your eyebrow (check out the eyebrow guide). This gives you a imaginery line, follow that line with your eyeliner (obviously not too high to the brow but as high as you are comfortable and then strengthen the line.
  7. If you run into problems with the wing, grab a q tip and clean the product up and start again.

Hope that helps :)
