Aaaaahhhhh, the most famous question in my time as a makeup artist is:
"Can you make me look like Kim Kardashian?"
Well here goes,
I personally love and adore Kim Kardashian and think she is one of the most glamourous and naturally beautiful women in the world today. Her makeup is smokey, soft and steamy.
I can absolutely recreate her look but can i make you look like her, 9 times out of 10 the answer is NO!
You are you, be inspired by her, but always remember you can never transform into someone else with a hit of a brush.(pardon the pun)

SMOKEY DEEP BROWN CATS EYES - INSPIRED BY KIM KARDASHIAN
Eyes:
Eyes:
- Mac Bronze Eyeshadow
- Mac Texture Eyeshadow
- Mac Embark Eyeshadow
- Mac Blacktrax Fluidline Eyeliner
- Mac Duck eyeliner
- Mac Smolder Eyeliner
- Mac Plushlash Mascara
- Mac Vanilla Pigment
- Mac no.43 Lahes (very important)
- Mac Lingering eyebrow pencil
Step by step guide
- Make sure the face is cleansed and moisturised before beginning. I always start with the eyes to eliminate smudging the foundation and making the overall look flawless.
- Firstly smudge the Mac Duck eyeliner all over the lid of the eye, just enough to cover the eyelid.
- Directly apply the Mac Bronze eyeshadow on the lid with a flat brush (Mac brush #239). Make sure there is enough eyeshadow applied to eliminate creasing.
- I next turn to the eyebrows, its very important to give a stronger shape. Strengthen your eyebrow naturally. (i will go into this further on my next blog)
- Next i go back to the eyeshadow with Mac texture eyeshadow, I use Texture eyeshadow as a blender color. Apply Texture to the socket of the eye, and blend upwards towards the eyebrow (do not touch the eyebrow). For beginners I would recommend the Mac blender brush #217.
- Pick up Mac Embark eyeshadow and apply the dark color to the line of the crease, you will find it blends very well because of the blender color texture undersneath. Slowly keep adding more Embark until you have reached your desired darkness. If you find its too dark take a cotton ball and lightly wipe away some color. Also if you find its not blended go back over with your blender color, Texture. For beginners i would recommend the Mac blender brush #217.
- Next we go to the Mac Eyeliner Fluidline in Blacktrax. Mac Blacktrax is a gel formula that is applied with a angle brush (i.e Mac angle brush #266). Goes on “foolproof” with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Apply as close to the eye as possible to begin with, applying thinner eyeliner to the inside and thicker liner to the outside, when the liner looks fluid, keep thickening. Add a small "flick" to the outside of the eye to give the cats eye look.
- With the upper eye finished I then look at the underneath of the eye. Apply Macs Texture eyeshadow under the eye using a loose blender brush(Macs #217 brush). Do not worry if it looks messy or low, its only a blender color so the messier the better
- Apply Mac Embark to the outer lower eye, applying more at the end and blending inwards with less product, I would use a smaller harder crusher (Mac brush #219). Giving a smokey look.
- Apply Mac Smolder Eyeliner inside the eye to give a even smokier look.
- Next Grab your lashes, measure them against your eye, cut them if neccessary. Have your eyelash adhesive ready in a palette, pull your eyelash strip through the glue (only have enough to cover the strip, do not apply too much glue, its gets too gloopy and sticky). The trick to applying eyelashes is letting the glue half dry before applying to the eye.
- Apply a thin coat of eyeliner over the stripline (to hide any glue) and also apply a thin coat of Mascara over the lashes above and below.
- Lastly apply the Mac pigment Vanilla to the inner eye and directly under the eyebrow, its a fabulous highlighter.
Sorry for the Lack of photos, I will be uploading them shortly!
Let me know how it works for you? Pick my brain, Ill be glad to help .
